The twin shafts from Atlas offers single-point greasing options for all their moving parts. Greasing the parts is pretty easy and quick. With just a grease gun pump, you can pour the required amount of grease into the machine to make sure that the machine is well-oiled.
Planetary Gear Boxes
The twin-shaft mixers from Atlas Technologies are heavy-duty systems engineered for productivity. They are designed to perform reliably and without frequent need for maintenance. But there are some specific reasons for us using the planetary gear box for all our twin shaft mixers.
- They come connected with the main shaft via. a gear coupling. This keeps the transfer of forces from the mixing to the output shafts. That gives the twin shaft mixer a long life.
- The bearings are set in individual housing which isolates the mixer seals from the bearings, something that is very helpful in events of seal failure. It also makes the system easier to maintain.
Discharge Gate
The discharge door is powered by a pneumatic cylinder. A nylon seal along the perimeter of this door insulates the chamber. The door rotation is programmed in such a way that every time it is closed shut, the seal is contacted and compressed.
Washer
Washing the mixers made by Atlas is equally easy. The mixers have a hose fitted with a heavy spray jet nozzle. Spraying the inside with water jets ensure thorough cleaning of the mixers.
Top Hatch
The top cover is easy to open and close. The top cover is attached to the chamber with twin hinged hatches. Wide and open, it allows easy access to the mixer chamber. The top cover ensures that the insides can be cleaned out perfectly after a day’s work. The top cover is set high which makes unscheduled and preventive maintenance easy. It makes the shutdown period relatively shorter. The top hatch is also very flexible, and equally secure when closed.
