The Challenge

A leading building materials and infrastructure enterprise in Oman needed a high-capacity plant built for sustainable, high-performance mixes.

Sustainable, Cost-Effective Production

The client wanted to cut virgin material use, so the plant had to blend reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) into its mixes.

High-Performance Mix Capability

Modified formulations such as Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA) demand accurate fiber additive dosing.

Thermal Control and Emissions

The plant needed precise heating, low emissions and strong fuel efficiency at the largest scale in the Atlas range.

The Engineering Solution

Atlas engineered its largest batch plant, the ABP 260, around the client’s mix requirements and added dedicated systems for RAP, fibre and heating.

Plant & Equipment Supplied

1 × ABP 260 Asphalt Batch Mix Plant with a custom 25% RAP system, integrated cellular fiber additive dosing and a high-efficiency air atomised burner.

RAP and Additive Systems

The custom RAP system feeds up to 25% reclaimed material into each mix. The cellular fiber dosing system enables modified formulations such as SMA.

High-Efficiency Air Atomised Burner

The burner controls temperature precisely, keeps emissions low and saves fuel across high-volume production.

The Victory

Project Outcomes

Atlas won the contract against leading global OEMs on customisation and regional reliability
The 25% RAP system supports cost-effective, sustainable asphalt production
Fibre dosing lets the plant produce SMA and other modified mixes
